All time transfer (out) team

Michael Brown - G
Rodney Walker -
Michael Lloyd - G

Because I think they are the only McD's AA's we've lost to transfer, but also because I think the first two put the kabosh on our Baltimore recruiting for awhile until it got kick started again with Melo.

I'll add

Richard Manning - C
Bobby Lazor -

to round out my team. Manning went on to get drafted and play sparingly in two season in the NBA.

In an incredible feat of transference, I think Michael Lloyd would qualify for the all transfer in and all transfer out teams.

Michael Lloyd didn't transfer out. he jumped to the NBA who didn't want him and wound up playing in Israel.

Its been a while since we have had a transfer achieve some success at another school (unless I am missing somebody). In the 90's there was quite a few as already mentioned - Manning , Sekunda, Lazor, Lloyd, Bland, Harris.

Seems that more of our recent transfers seemed to bounce from school to school - Konecny, Josh Wright, Tiki Mayben (if he counts)

Rich Manning played well at Washington and in the NBA for the Clippers and Grizzlies

WW did suit up for a team picture. He never played a minute.

I used this site to determine what Syracuse players who have transferred from Syracuse during the Jim Boeheim Era have done at their subsequent schools:

http://www.orangehoops.org/Bball Player Index.htm

Here are the players who have averaged at least 10 points a game for their subsequent schools in at least one season, with their average for that season:

Anthony Harris, Hawaii 22.4

Keith Hughes, Rutgers 19.6

Bobby Lazor, Arizona State 18.0

Rock Lloyd, Long Beach State 18.0

Matt Roe, Maryland 17.8

Rick Manning, Washington 17.3

Sam Spann, Fairfield 15.0

DeShaun Williams, Iona 14.8

Earl Duncan, Rutgers 14.6

Mike Sheehey, St. Bonaventure 13.5

Xzavier Gaines, Northwest Missouri 13.2

LaSean Howard, Hampton 13.1

Chuckie Gelatt, DePaul 12.9

Mark Konecny, Lambtuh 12.2

Louie McCroskey, Marist 12.1

George Papdakos, Michigan State 10.1

Manning and Papdakos were centers. I’d take Manning.

Hughes, Lazor, Gelatt and Konecny would be power forwards. I’ll take Hughes.

Spann, Howard and Sheehey were small forwards but rather than pick any of them I’d rather move Bobby Lazor over and go with two power forwards.

Gaines, Harris, Lloyd, McCroskey, Roe and Williams were shooting guards. Harris had the highest average but I’d go with Williams, who was a better all-around player than Harris, Roe or Lloyd.

Earl Duncan is the only point guard but he was a good one.

Duncan, Williams, Lazor, Hughes and Manning would be a good team. But we’ve had better.

Matt Roe was a decent player who got some PT. How come he transferred?

Was Michael Lloyd a transfer out? I thought he was dismissed from the team over questions about his eligibility - credits from his junior college/involvement with an "agent". Didn't he leave not for another college (transfer) but pro ball , maybe overseas?

I remember Anthony Harris, who lost playing time here over conditioning transferring to Hawaii (I think), regretting not listening to JB in an interview some years later. He said JB wanted him to lose weight because it affected his conditioning, speed but it created a war of wills resulting in his transfer. He said JB was right regarding his weight and he regretted his stubborness on the issue. I recall thinking it was too bad for both Harris and us.

Papadokos's transfer to michigan st really ticked off the staff. He left in February duting the season and JB said if he had told him he wanted to transfer he would have helped him but leaving when he did hurt Rony Seikaly and the team in practice preparation. I remember watching Judd Heathcote on a tv game - grab Papadokus, push and scream at him as he returned to the bench out of sheer frustration. He had talent.

How could you guys forget about rock Lloyd?
I clearly remember his last game, that horrible NIT game in the dome (97?) when only 5000 people showed up. I was able to sit in great seats at half court in the first section because no one showed up for the game. Best seats I ever had in the dome up till then having had tickets in 312 forever. He left for Long Beach when Wayne Morgan got the job and he realized Jason Hart was getting the majority of playing time.
