For a while, it seemed like we had a kid transfer every year. That must have killed our graduation rates because at that time, transfers out counted against you (I think even if the kid was in good standing). And I remember Ryan Blackwell transferred in, but because he was a transfer it didn't help our graduation rate. He was a good student.

Matt Roe was a decent player who got some PT. How come he transferred?

This deserves an answer. It is a touchy subject but fortunately it was a long time ago. It makes me think that perhaps there might be some truth in the rumor that we once lost a monster recruit when the team did not want another star and let the recruit know it when he was on campus. The team stood by when Matt got beat up in a bar room fight. Fans don't really know anything about their team but I assume that that team was an anomaly; good players are not always good characters, especially when they are coddled teenagers.

Matt was more than a good player that got some playing time. He was a starter, and still holds some records. He was capable of taking over games against highly ranked teams; a deadeye shooter who could drive to the hoop.

His personal story is astounding.

all these guys were after 04 and not relevant at all. tiki was arrested for possession at binghampton, dayshawn played in the CBA?, mike jones 72 other schools, and DBM never played again due to injuries

Was Michael Lloyd a transfer out? I thought he was dismissed from the team over questions about his eligibility - credits from his junior college/involvement with an "agent". Didn't he leave not for another college (transfer) but pro ball , maybe overseas?
