...how incredibly loaded our side of the ACC is.

Just watched a few CFB analysts talk about their standouts in spring games and they all raved about Louisville's Lamar Jackson and Clemson's...well, just about everything. Jackson, Watson along with FSU.

We might as well be in the SEC.

saw that too, and cringed. Ugh. Three tough games every year. Gotta try and go 1-2 on a yearly basis with those...

Dabo Swinney, Jimbo Fisher, Bobby Petrino... it's all about the coaches. I think coach Babers will get SU to a high level of play. This side of the ACC will probably be easier going forward. The Coastal has Mark Richt, Justin Fuente, Larry Fedora, Bronco Mendehnall, David Cutcliffe, Pat Narduzzi, and Paul Johnson.

True. Moving forward, the other side could have 5-6 teams hovering around or in the Top 25 while our side has 2 perennial Top 10 teams and Louisville.

That ESPN FPI index had Wake Forest and BC above Cuse...just saying.

4-5 wins is about it. I hope they can make 6 wins.

ESPN basically admitted to thinking we were perennially in last place in our division a while back.

Bloom is about to come off the Addazzio rose this year. And I don't know how Clawson gets reporters to think they are perpetually "on the rise"...

6 wins def we have talent I don't trust much of ESPN ESP when those 2 ranked ahead who knows what will happen

It's been said before, but it would be nice to re-rack the divisions to be more equitable and so the best two teams in the conference actually meet in the championship game.

Great in theory, but, it could shift at any time. You never know when one teams gonna rise and one teams gonna fall. Now you have the shuffling conversation every couple of years when that happens.

Give Dino a couple of years and those same CFB analysts will be raving about the Babers offense and how other coaches in our division are cringing & struggling to find a winning strategy to combat it. I'd like to take on Clemson & FSU when Dino's offense really gets rolling. Could be fun.

i look at as we have been no better than AVG the last few years and still had moments where it looked like a single play would put us in position to upset clemson and FSU, we wont have the talent but that doesnt mean we cant beat them,. when miami was in its hey day we hoped to not get killed.

I wish they went with what amounts to an "old Big East" division...Syracuse, Miami, Virginia Tech, BC, Pitt, Louisville + one more(Virginia or GT, I guess). It was cool to play FSU/Clemson at first, but that wears off after a few years when you lose to them every time. We have history with Miami and VT but we might as well not even be in the same league given how infrequently we will play them.

I get Clemson and FSU but I don't understand everyone's love affair with Lville. They're beatable every year. Good, yes but not on the level of the other two.
I normally agree with you but Lamar Jackson could be a problem.

It will be fun this year. Not a win mind you, but it will be interesting to see how far away we are vs top defensive talent.

I think we'll lose to those teams by avg defensive play vs their offensive talent.
