Am I only one who has no interest in watching the Championship game?

I'm watching, but with all the "pinball like" scoring we've seen this bowl season, we're due for a 6-3 snoozefest.

Best game there is a thing called defense will be played with a 3-4 look from both teams can't beat it

Pretty surprising that it's the night before the game and barely anyone here is talking about it.

I'll probably check at half time to see if anyone's scored yet.

Meh...will be watching college hoops with an occasional eye on the game. For the supposed game of the century part 2, the hype has been about as high as my vertical. I actually forgot about the game until I saw ESPN today. I actually thought it was Tuesday night.

I don't really care about the game. 'Bama already lost to these guys at home, 'Bama has a less impressive than Ok. State, this game is junk. That being said I might stop watching basketball or playing Call of Duty long enough to check out the end if the game is close.

I'm going to watch. Should be a great atmosphere, glad the game is in NOLA. I'm not big on rematches, but at the end of the day, I still think this is the two best teams.

I think they'll take more shots on offense tomorrow than they did in that first matchup.

The only thing better would be to actually be in New Orleans right now enjoying the scene.

def will its college football and im a junkie...I like LSU winning 23-20...

Can't see watching a semi-pro football game when there is a Big East basketball game on opposite it featuring Georgetown. Maybe if the Hoyas are winning I'll switch over in disgust to watch the second half. If the Bearcats are kicking butt I'll stay with the hoops game then go to bed.

Would have been far more excited to see LSU-Okie State.

To answer your question: no.

Some adjustment needed (playoffs? don't talk about playoffs!)

In the existing system, maybe a no-rematch or a no-same conference rule.

Have very little interest. A game between two teams from my least favorite conference that have already played each other. I had already forgotten about the game and in fact thought it was Tuesday.

Maybe if the two teams had gone through a playoff to get there, it would have been of more interest to me. As it stands, my wife is more likely to want to watch it than I will be.

One shining moment...winner take all. Hard not to be at least a little interested.

Would much rather watch this game then Duke/Butler for the hoops title. That said, I watch both. This game should be great. Again, I wonder if many here are actually college football fans, or they just watch Syracuse

I don't know about others, but I love college football. Just not so crazy about the SEC because of their excesses and outright cheating. I usually go to 2 Patriot League games a year and beginning next season I'll probably catch one or two Centennial League (D III) games in addition to Syracuse. To some here DIII and FCS isn't college football, but you guys can have your opinion and I'll have mine.

It's precisely because I'm a college football fan that this game has little meaning to me. You have two teams from the same conference who didn't have to go through a playoff to play each other again. One of them (Bama) has played 8 of their 12 games against SEC teams. LSU played 9 games against SEC foes. Very incestuous.

As for Bama's non-conference foes? They included such BCS powerhouses as Kent state, North Texas state, and Georgia Southern. What? You mean those are not BCS teams? How could that be? But there is more...Bama and LSU have played already. At Bama. And Bama lost.

If LSU wins, it means that they are pretty much truly champions. If Bama wins, it means...well, what does it mean? I don't think it proves a damn thing.

So to me, this is more of an exhibition game than a NC matchup.

not only no interest in the "big" game but in any bowls as the article in the Syracuse PS on the abysmal rating and attendence really summed up me. I couldn't believe it when I heard on the radio them talking about the game, counldn't believe I forgot about it . Never in my 48 years have I watched less holiday college football, but more NFL than usual for me.
