...who needs to abstain from all things College Football after a loss? No ESPN, no other College Games, no message boards...nothing.

It's be about 40 hours...starting to feel a little better.

That's why Sunday follows Sat. Time to refocus on your NFL team and hopefully you can concentrate on something other than SU for a few days. Go Lions!

I thought I was the only Detroit Lions fan outside the city of Detroit! Glad to hear I have company, and it was nice to start the season off with a win.

if the weather had been better i would have taken a ride on the harley-
did sunday am because i was still peeved

I do that all the time with basketball, I don't want to see the repeated highlights of us losing. As for football I used to, but now I'm more used to us losing so it's not as terrible for me anymore

Yeah, I get that -- I'm more used to it in football, but the last two losses were more painful than usual for some reason. Maybe it's just because it feels like we've taken a few steps back.

I feel the same way after a basketball loss. I was over the Northwestern game before it ended.

I'm very hardened as a Syracuse fan. I get over losses very quickly now. It's the only way.
Yeah, that's where I'm at too.

Yep, the GRob years gave me some perspective.

I'm not going to deprive myself all the great college football that's played after us. Especially since we play so many nooners.

I left the Northwestern game near the end of the 3rd quarter, and jumped into a cab feeling fine, knowing I was about to go out in Chicago for the night. Didn't feel so great on Sunday. Or today even. Fireball shots should be banned in this country (just throwing that out there).

Ditto on both accounts. There was a time when an SU loss in basketball, football, or lacrosse would ruin my entire week. Absolutely ruin it.

Things changed for me during the GRob era. It doesn't mean that losing doesn't bother me--it does, and always will. But the GRob years desensitized me toward losing. Which is both sad, and more realistic than I was before.

I just hope fall gets here soon so I can spend my Saturdays raking leaves :)
