im sure clemson's excuse will be they won despite losing lawrence, but at the end of the day, we knocked him out of the game and played toe to toe with them.

cody conway's second terrible penalty imo cost us the game.

clemson made the better call on 4th and 6.

we EARNED respect today. vegas was only "off" by 20.

As someone said in another thread, Lawrence going out might have been the worst thing for SU. Went to largely run run run. Wore SU out.

i think the bigger issue was we stopped scoring. shorter possessions afforded clemson offense the time to come back.

Here's the thing: our offensive style is to play up tempo. I think it's unnatural for us to play any other way.

Agreed. He went looking for someone to block. Which he shouldn’t have done. It’s not a play where his blocking matters.

There’s no way for him to know if Dungey got flushed out of the pocket and had to scramble. Couldn’t believe they called that

I’ll defer to the coaches on the explanation but it’s a jump pass. There is no scramble. It’s fake the dive and jump. No other options.

Good call. Dino said as much in his presser. Said it was an rpo that took too long to develop and it was a bad call by him.

If the referee did not call the foul, it would be 4th and 1. They would try a field goal and failed. The game would have a total different outcome. Because of the 5 yard penalty, tit is too far to try a field goal. They had to gamble. The QB threw a pass that lead to a touchdown later.

What? They were going for it. It was a trap play to the left side. Sure clemson wouldve converted too. Crazy comment and not really responsive either.

Dungey's skip pass to a wide open Nykeim who would have went for at least 15-20 yards.
Conway's illegal mad down field would have had it 1st and 10 from 25 with 6 and change
4th and 6 and their QB made a play

Yeah, maybe true but I don't really buy that. That QB is ultra talented and I think they would have had too many answers for us in the 2nd half with being able to throw and run. I don't think we're giving Lawrence enough credit. We lost the game because our O couldn't produce in the 2nd half, period.
