The Maryland job is a bad one. They don't have a big fanbase but the ones they have harbor unreasonably high expectations. Also a place where program supporters have too much power, never good for a coach trying to build a program.

When Fridge was fired after the job he did there working under tough circumstances (he was a loyal alum who worked tirelessly to improve the program), it should have sent a message to anyone interested in the job: don't come here unless you can work miracles.
Dancing Randy is not a miracle worker.

What is Fridge doing now? Would he like to come for a year or two and help straighten things out. Obrien kid looked like a superstar last year under him. I think Edsall had benched him after three games.
