while UConn and Rutgers may well end up gaining admission to the ACC, SU was the first choice in 2011 and was initially chosen in 2003, to join? Feels better than getting in by the skin of your teeth like those two may (if in fact they get in at all).

My view on UConn is simple: the ACC wants nothing to do with the University of Jim Calhoun and will wait for him to retire. UConn may end up in the ACC with us, but it may take some bribes on their end to get them in. Right now they are standing in a dark alley outside the speakeasy, and Bruno the Bouncer ain't buyin their story. "Sorry, fellas. Yous ain't on the list."
