anyone catch the play last night? runner hits ball towards first. pitcher 1st base collide making play and runner runs into pitcher. umps award player first base? A's play under protest end up losing in extra innings.. not sure what the umps were thinking. runner has to avoid fielders fielding the ball, once ball is fielded they have to get out of the way, except the one he ran into had the ball and made the tag, so he is out anyway? weird call
