While I was checking on some of the point guards we missed on I looked up AJ Hoggard down at Vanderbilt. I found their new coach took my stance of PG being the most important position to the extreme. They are having a really good season though!

Get me Donovan Dent if you are serious about turning it around.

Do you really think Syracuse has more money to throw around than SMU?

Louisville paid $750K for Chucky Hepburn...

We spent $800K on Lampkin.

It would seem we have some money to spend.

We're not going to have the biggest NIL coffers by any stretch, but this "we can't possibly come up with enough NIL to get a good player" fallback excuse has gotten tired.

We need to target the right players (along with having the right coach to coach them.)

addressing our backcourt needs means we have 2 guards who complement each other.
our guards (and we have a lot of them) seem to possess absolutely no synchronicity.

That's the $million dollar question isn't it? If SU has not learned how badly they reacted to the world of NIL then improvement is very unlikely. And despite some fan driven initiatives/collectives its not anything fans can control or impact. I would hope having the ability to lead the world in attendance would be all the impact we need.

Boopie Miller... use the Melo cash and go get a real merc throat-slicer.

He'll be a senior next year.

SMU, so he put up these numbers in our league. Not a step up in weight class. LOL
This is precisely the kind of guy we need for next year.

Both years under Red the roster has been unbalanced, with too many similar players at certain positions. You can take a chance on a guy or two, but not so many as we have.
And if you're going to bring in 3 two guards, you can't just not play one of them, like he's done at various positions and various points this year.
