The part that makes me think he definitely is lying now is the new (to me) information that he originally said he got molested at a UConn game - only to be told we didn't play at UConn that year, so he changes it to Pitt.

It's like the old Chevy Chase gag paraphrased:

It was apparent fairly early on that ZT's story had a lot of inconsistencies and was probably mostly lies. Who knows if anything happened (I doubt it) but there are no corroborating facts. He just isn't credible. So...is Lang next?

Well that is shocking to me. I admit I'm new to the board and a little long in the tooth, but what the hell is wrong with THOSE people? Where is the evidence? (there isn't any) Where is a credible accusation? (ditto) but most importantly, JIM BOEHEIM SAID IT DIDN"T HAPPEN!!!!! Obviously I'm referring to his initail reaction, before he was silenced, before the cowards in the irovy tower forced him to turn his back on Bernie or walk the plank. But the fact remains that he (very astutely, in my opinion) TOLD US ALL BERNIE WAS INNOCENT (god love him) before the slimy political brass could get to him!!!!! So who do YOU believe? Some clown on ESPN who couldn't find Syracuse NY on a map or a guy who spent the majority of his waking hours with Bernie for decades??? YOU DON"T THINK JIM WOULD HAVE KNOW????? If Bernie was guilty, Jim would have fallen on his sword long ago, because he is 100% CLASS. Instead, he's coaching with a vengence, a true vengence, AND WE ARE SEEING WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU PUT A MAN'S DIGNITY UP FOR SALE. JB's protest is winning games. Guess what? WE ARE UNDEFEATED!!! Anyone who thinks Bernie Fine is guilty, in my humble opinion, is calling Jim Boeheim a liar, is a traitor to Syracuse, AND CAN KISS MY ASS!!!

Have you read any of the threads at "A Fine Mess"? Most people think he is guilty of "something"... I don't really know myself, and I'm sure you'll agree that you and I don't know any more than the next guy. Hope he is totally innocent btw, but his life is ruined one way or the other. It's just that the subject has been talked to death and most have moved on from Bernie. God forbid, I don't GAS like you do.

You are correct that i am not familiar with "A Fine Mess" (whatever that is), but since when does subject fatigue become an excuse for abandoning one's principles? If there are people out there who want to believe Bernie is guilty and that Jimmy B is a liar, I wish them the best, BUT THEY AREN'T SITTING WITH ME AT THE DOME!! After you've taken a few hits to the mug, one thing life teaches you is you gotta go ALL IN on what you believe. If I don't believe 100% in Bernie, 100% in Jimmy B's judgement, his word, his oversight of the program, then I can't be the 100% crazy superfan I am, living, breathing, ting Syracuse ball. To me, it's all one package. I have no idea how someone can compartmentalize the two, This is the reason you will see me crushing UConn fans on line and in person to their faces everywhere life takes me in my travels. This is the reason I can walk up to a guy half my age, fifty pounds bigger and tell him to take the stupid Husky hat off, You're in a Cuse bar, and he will comply.
