Another Wonderful Piece On The Edsons

I thought I had stopped crying about Rob's death. But I hadn't. This article started it all over again. For those who did not have the privilege of knowing Rob... trust me: He was one of the most special people on this planet. I just hope that Sue, Thomas and Tracey ... get some solace from all that has been said about Rob this week.

I just found out that Rob passed. As a former student athlete, I can't say enough about Rob and Sue. What I appreciated most about both of them was how they cared about every student athlete. You could be a star or the last guy on the bench and they treated everyone the same, with respect. Rob was a great guy.

When I graduated, I decided I wanted to work in athletics, doing what, I wasn't sure. Rob and Sue both advised me. No matter how busy they were, their doors were always open. They let me intern in the athletic department. Sue helped me search for jobs and basically did my resume for me, taking hours of her time. She didn't need to do that. I've always been grateful.

They are two of the best people I've come in contact with from the SU athletic department. We were fortunate to have Rob. I'm sure I'm not the only student athlete he impacted. Probably hundreds if not more.
