Any chance that Chris McCullough may reclassify for 2013

Yeah, at the time I really didn't want him to reclassify.

Now I really wish he would because he would come in and start from day one and give us a great shot at a title next year, I think. Hopefully we avoid any potential missed postseasons when he's a frosh, because that team should be loaded.

it's probably a good thing he stayed in 2014. our frontcourt is going to be so overflowing with talent next year. even assuming that coleman, christmas and BMK play exclusively at center, we still have a ton of competition for the 80 minutes a game at the forward spots between Fair, Grant, Roberson and Johnson. and if we're only going to have McCullough for one year, I'd rather it be next year after he's had another year of experience under his belt - he'll be that much better as a freshman in 2014 than he would be as a freshman in 2013 - in addition to the fact that we'll have more of a need for him in 2014 after Fair is gone.

It's also probably better for him. Wiggins is pretty much locked in as the top pick in 2014, but I think that Chris could really be the #1 pick in 2015. I really believe he's that good.

That, and we'll be returning two juniors and two sophomores (rather than a sophomore and three first-year players) in the backcourt that season. That should help everyone.

awhaa???

He's already a top 10 talent, and will probably wind up top 5 by the end of next year coming out of HS. He's a legit 6-10, long, very athletic, and he has a face up game. He has a very, very real shot at being the #1 pick in the 2015 draft. Based on the combination of size, athleticism, and talent alone, there's not much debate (at this point...who knows what the future holds, but I have no doubt he will be great).

Looks like he has a Kevin Garnett body type- he is so long

He really is super long. Watching his highlight clips on YouTube, he's much bigger/taller than he looks until he goes up for a dunk and it's like he just needs to bunny hop to slam it in. Can't wait to see him rocking the Dome!

That's going to look awfully strange in the Dome...

And how old is he. A couple of the recent kids leaving SU have done so not only because of talent but becaue of age. MCW will be 22 by next NBA season and Wesley Johnson left after his Jr year because he was gong to be 22. If staying in school makes him "old" for college, and with exceptional talent, he could be a 1 n done.

He will be a one and done because he is THAT good. If we get a second season out of CM, consider it a huge blessing, but it is extremely unlikely.

Camarshmelo Anthony was a 3rd pick. But goshdernit I want you to be right.

He also had a guy named LeBron in that year's draft. Had there been no LeBron, Melo would have been the #1 pick.

every time i think i know something about how college players will be drafted, i remind myself that darko went before melo, and i remember that some of the nba folks know even less than us and a lof of it is just a crap shoot.

Darko went before Melo, Bosh and Wade. Methinks the Pistons would like a do over...

Bill Simmons analogized the 2003 NBA draft like this where their were 5 envelopes 2 of them containing 100 million dollars(Lebron, Carmelo Lebron was probably a 1 billion dollar envelope anyway), 2 of them containing 10 million dollars(Wade and Bosh weren't as highly rated at the time), and 1 envelope containing 100 dollars(Darko), and Detroit at number 2 picked out the 100 dollar envelope. Also, Simmons believes the Pistons passing on Melo in 2003 actually won them the 2004 NBA title because Melo would have clashed with Larry Brown and caused problems with their lineup and caused Tayshawn Prince a key cog on that team to have to be traded so picking Darko actually won them a title, but if they knew how good Wade or Bosh were they would have won multiple titles.

I think that Larry Brown would have brought Melo off the bench and that situation would have humbled melo imo. I always wondered if the pistons picked wade they could have had a dynasty and they could be the heat right now.

JB said on his show that McCullough wouldn't be reclassifying and if he did we'd be one overt the scholarship limit. Who would you want to get rid of?
