One poll we didn’t get any votes last week. The other we got 3 votes and were 44th. We move up to about 28th and will get in if we beat wake.

CFP rankings don’t look at college polls so in that respect the polls have been meaningless since the preseason poll. It is a fun exercise in where “experts” nationally think we are though. On the recruiting side it does mean a good deal. It’s easier to recruit a kid when you can say you are ranked topped 25 in the polls and you can point at how this program has improved since Dino has taken over.

If our 3rd string QB was in and we ran the ball the whole game, you would have said, "we almost beat Clemson with our 3rd string QB". So I guess its a matter of perspective. We did lose to them playing their 3rd string QB, that's just a fact. If they ran the ball the whole time and the QB didn't do anything to win the game, that actually makes us look even worse. Not better.

Actually no I would not have said that. Just like I wouldn’t say Howard won our game last night.
As far as facts. That is there second string QB and he still did not win that game. At most you can say he didn’t lose that game for them.

I’m so sick of the mediocre teams in the B1G always being ranked.

Very similar conference to the ACC but they always get more respect.

-Clemson is Bama’s only threat to a Title.
-OSU/Mich are both CFP contenders but zero threat to Bama.

After that, a whole bunch of top 15-30 and mediocre teams in both leagues.

Purdue beat BC and Duke beat NW in head to heads.

MSU/Penn St/Iowa/Wisconsin/NW

Vs

Syracuse/BC/VT/Miami/UVA

Those teams all look pretty similar to me. Hopefully the rankings reflect what teams have actually done as opposed to preseason views.
