I'm really not too worried. When we played Marquette in the regular season, it was during one of the worst stretches for us. We led for most of the game and even after a 15-2 Marquette run, we were only down 1. Plus, they killed us from the free throw line.

Right now we're playing our best basketball both offensively and defensively. After yesterday's game I have no doubt that we are the hottest team in the tournament. We are a better team than Marquette and have more weapons. I just don't see any way that we lose tomorrow. It's exciting to know that a Final Four birth is just one win away!

I felt better about us beating Indiana than I do Marquette. They know our zone. They know our coach. They know our players. Were coming off of a huge win. MCW had his best game ever (and often that results in a crash the following game).

On the other hand ... We know their style. We know their coach. They're coming off of a huge win. Etc.

Just wondering what you guys think?

We are HOT right now. Never bet against a hot team, especially your own.

SU doesn't look remotely similar to the team that played Marquette earlier. There was something very wrong with the team psychology. Since playing outstanding defense takes significant effort, that went away quickly when their minds were adrift. Now they're onboard with the program & it shows. LGO!

I'm going positive on this one.zGardner is quoted as saying he uses his big body to bang opponents with his weight. If the freaking refs call the game correctly he should be out of there soon enough. Plan B by putting inout big body to try his scoring ability inside and draw Devante's fouls. If MCW is the player that the media claims him to be et him put together a string of games and lead us to the NC!Also lets get something from James in this game on offense Rebounding and defense again will win or lose this game to get to Ohio State again.:cool:
I don't think our opponent after the win will be Ohio St

We are the underdog. Marquette almost lost ot davidson. We are familar with marquette I like our chances alot better because of that. It will help expose our matchups better then they can.

Marquette is no slouch though they can be balenced all around. marquette likes to run alot of isolation our zone can cut down on that and has to.

Some things we need to stop. marquette making shots in the lane it will help cut down on their all around offense. Gardner won't have a field day agianst us without refs on his bench like last game. We need to not let marquette get transition baskets that result from bad offense.

Our defense will be key big time. We cannot take marquette lightly.

Time for payback for a screwjob this year as well.

If the refs call the games like they have been this whole tourney, we'll be fine. If they call it like they did in Milwaukee, we'll be in trouble.

I think our destiny lies in the final four, and that means Marquette loses. The team I've been watching since the regular season ended is possessed. It's not a feeling or any analytical thing but more of a conviction - we'll be playing in Atlanta.

Marquette is good, but not nervous at all.
This is all gravy at this point, and clearly one step ahead of expectations and miles ahead of where we were projected 3 weeks ago.
It'll be a rough and tumble BE war, or we'll grab another lead and this time, we won't give it up.
I see a 5-10 point win for us.

The refs have called every touranmetn game fair this year I wouldn't expect that to change. Its not like past years.
Sure osu got a lucky call or two but it wasn't all that lobsided. End of story and thank you for not making teams beg to be treated fairly this year. The refs deserve freaking gold tournament rings for outstanding performance in fairness, literally.

I'm feeling good about this game. We are at the point where every game is pay back for us. Our guys are tired of losing, tired of being the "underdog", tired of hearing they have no offense, tired of hearing they play zone because they aren't good enough to play man. It goes on and on and they are tired of it. They are coming to play one game at a time, three more times. Bank it!

After the 1st weekend of messed up calls and explaining why they called them wrong, I believe the head of referee's told the ref's, make sure no-one realizes you were there.

have any proof to back this up or are you just making up something to bolster your argument?

Do I have proof that players often have a down game after having the game of their life? Not of hand. My decades of watching sports have often shown this though. Some people call it a reverse trap game.

I would hardly call this the game of their life.

They played great defense, as they have in the last 3 weeks, but Indiana didn't match up well with us. In addition, the offense was very sloppy, & we should have beaten the Hoosiers by 20 points.

No BE refs should play in our favor as MU will not be able to hack, grab and push all over the court.

in the elite 8, no game is easy. ask yourslef, who would u rather play? ohio sttae in LA, duke in indy, kansas in jerrys world, etc. bottom line, yes gthey know r zone, however the second time we gte to make adjustmenst as well. it will not be easy, however the home crowd will be huge tomorrow
I kind of feel this way as well. There are a number of teams playing very well right now, SU and Marq are two of them, but you are going to have to play some of them eventually.

Denny Crum and I have us playing in the national championship against Louisville and we are never wrong. People on this site were peeing their pants against the Hoosiers, now it's Marquette. C'mon have some friggin' faith folks. All aboard. LGO.

Marq is going to fold under pressure

that's my feeling too. elite 8 games are big time, don't get much bigger than playing a game with the f4 on the line. our guys were here last year and we just played in electric atmosphere in NYC against gtown and lville, first time getting this far for Marquette. between that and the crowd advantage for cuse I think Marquette will play a little tight and scared.

Definitely nervous, you never wanna see a conference foe in the tourney especially a team like MU who has beaten su in the tourney. From reading an article on syracuse.com today marquette is very confident. Hope there overconfident but i dont see su blowing them out or coasting.

A bad feeling about the game? Nope I'm numb. OK, maybe that is all the beer I had tonight.

They played good in tight situations vs. Davidson and Butler, but you're right, this is a whole different animal.

And really, they easily could have lost their last 4 games if you take out Miami; Butler, Davidson, ND (Lost), St.John's in OT on a last second shot.

My friend goes to MU and he thinks they "turned the corner" after last night, so we'll see. I'm cautiously optimistic.

Totally agree.
