I don't think he has a concussion -- just a hunch -- and that SU is holding him out for precautionary reasons.
That's fine.
But I also think they're feeling pressure to hold him out.
Moneyline has us as 7% to win without Dungey. You weren't far off.Even with Dungy, I think we have a 5% chance of winning.
Let him sit & heal.
People thatching we should hold him out even if able to play at 100%, does that mean if he hadn't gotten hurt vs CMU, you'd also have wanted to hold him out this game?

You mean that's just not right, right? That wasn't the question nor what some have said. If he's able to play, play him. Kids look forward to these type of big games. Some want to hold him out no matter if he's able to play or not. That's just right.

Of courseif he was 100% he would be playing
I agree. But that's not the point. Some want to hold him out no matter what.
Would be an amazing Willis Reed Moment in front of 45K if he came out. But its not happening IMO.

elimunelson said:to me it's an either/or w a concussion. If he has a concussion, absolutely hold him out. That's prudent for now (it may mean he's susceptible to more of em down the road too). but if he doesn't, what exactly are we holding him out for? a headache? it's ridiculous. Play him. McNabb played vs Miami in 95. No one complained about that either though many thought we had no chance in South Florida.
Mcnabb played vs NCST with a MASSIVE headache along with some stomach ailment.
well thats just poppycock.I agree. But that's not the point. Some want to hold him out no matter what.
If there defense looks nasty you would sit him? You mean sacrifice someone else? I'm sure their folks like that thinking.Seems like he's not playing either way, judging by the people here who are in-the-know.
If it were up to me, and assuming he's well enough to play, I'd treat the game like an NFL pre-season game. Play him for a quarter and if their defense looks especially nasty, just sit him.
mr and mrs jones?! congratulations...junior will be starting against LSU. we thank you for sending him here, when in reality he has no shot to ever play. but because we dont want anyone any good getting hurt, he will start and go this week until he is drooling on the sideline or is carted off the field on a carnival stretcher to make the kids laugh. thanks again for coming, your seats are in row 79.If there defense looks nasty you would sit him?
