and have issues trying to create a new message?

I've deleted the app, created a new one and still have problems.

Yet no problem on the IPad.

Yup. Just tried it. Didn't work and locked me out of the app. Had to restart phone to get app unlocked.

Appears to be a glitch.

Hope they figure it out,

Ever since temery set us up with a mobile version of the regular website a couple years ago, I haven't wanted to use forum runner at all. Have you tried syracusefan mobile and not liked it?

Syracusefan mobile?

Something other than just googling Syracusefan and operating the way you would on a PC?

I'm not sure everyone knows about it, but we've had the capability for 2 years. Open up your preferences on your pc or Mac and choose "mobile". Then when you open the URL on your smart phone or ipad it has a mini version that's clean easily interactive.

You may not like it but I dig it over forum runner

Thanks.

I'll try that.

Do what 690West says. It's a setting on the bottom left of the page. I've been using it since the day temery told me about it (before it went "public") and I've never looked back.

I have both mobile set up and forum runner. I prefer forum runner. I guess I haven't seen much difference between mobile style and just using the site using Safari. Mobile style seems to take forever but maybe that is just me.

There was something about forum runner that drove me nuts. I think it was that there wasn't a concise place to see your alerts like when people quoted or liked your posts

Yeah, forum runner doesn't have alerts, which stinks, and you can't start a thread. (at least I can't, which I think was the original point of this thread).

I haven't tried the mobile thing yet.

I can start a new thread on android version. I have to be in the thread section of a forum, then click the menu button on my phone. Start thread is one of several options.

Thanks.

I'll try that.
Or, in the lower left corner of this (or any) page here, you might see a link that says either "A&O" or "Adsense Only". Click that and you can also choose "Mobile Style". See if that helps you.

I have both set up now.

I prefer Forum Runner.

Much faster.

But it sucks not being able to start a thread in Forum.

So the mobile site, somewhat old school, is my backup.

Forum Runner needs to get its act together.

I heard that a number of the Forum Runner developers have recently sustained season ending lower body injuries...

I agree. And not being very tech savvy, I have to ask. Being that I'm not on wifi during the day, doesn't a forum runner app use less DATA than my browser?

Great.
So now you've got me looking into Forum Runner again. An app that I fired 2 years ago.

Its lack of support for text formatting and icons will likely make this a short-lived visit.

The fact that it crashes (on iOS) and doesn't appear to let one edit posts don't help its cause either.

I'm a fan of forum runner over mobile style on my Iphone. I've had the problem trying to create threads for a month now.. sometimes I can , sometimes I cant. I just assumed they put a BAC limit on creating threads, because I normally just have the issue when I'm hammered and want to post something stupid.

A valuable feature ;)

I can comment, I can put a smiley face, blah blah blah.
What troubles me is I cannot start a new thread (for about a month), and when I click on a link it closes.

I have the same problem with links. It stays up for a few seconds, then closes

That's exactly what happens to me. I switch over to the mobile thing to start a thread and if I want to read a link, I copy and paste it into my browser.

I got to the "start thread" choice, and selected it. Then it would not let me type anything into the header. And I could not cancel it either. It just froze up.

Also I can not get into the chat on the iphone app version.

But you can't change fonts, or colors, or easily include burning couches (couchburn), nor do a bunch of other things. And it crashes a lot.
