The proposed concept addresses very few of these shortcomings. Retractable roof a big plus, but limits expansion potential. While 40k may be sufficient today I would hope that the program outgrows that in short order.  In fact the "butts in seats" count may suffer if season ticket holders stay home and there are 10k fewer "food stamp" seats.

Location is much worse than currently though it does give the University valuable real estate taken up by parking lots west of the Dome.

I'm as excited as anyone by these discussions.  Just hate to see SU settle for something new but less than optimal and not have another opportunity for another 35 years.

Though maybe I'll be less strident then when I'm 92.
