He always has that scowl. I think it's because he doesn't know what to expect. Maybe you'll be one of those groupie types that screams and has to be escorted from the area by security?

He's always been low profile when I've seen him, but it's usually at AAU tourneys where his kids are playing, so that's understandable. He's dad then, not Head Coach. He'll find a spot tucked in a corner or high in the bleachers to kind of remove himself. Some of that might be NCAA driven too, who knows. He is usually very cordial if you say hi to him at a function. I bet he would have talked briefly with you if he knew you were from Cuse.

JB is a VERY private person I met him one time at a golf course while an SU student, and while he was cordial. He was obviously uncomfortable with the showering of admiration that my group was giving him. I left it alone and wished him well on the course, but I could tell he wants privacy and doesn't care for the attention unlike others.

I am most shocked that in a Captain's choice format he and Shafer finished up above par. I am a 5-6 handicap and give me a similar partner and I won't shoot over par when we get 2 shots at each spot every hole.

I've met him at coaching clinics and he is really nice. After he speaks one time there was a lunch break and he spent a good 30 minutes talking to high school coaches about basketball. Some of this probably has to do with being a coaching enviroment and not a private one.
