Eh, what are ya gonna do. I don’t agree with Mark Packer on much but he’s right when he says the AP and Coaches poll is a popularity contest and shouldn’t be taken seriously. Only poll that matters is CFP

Oh you didn’t know, “we haven’t played anybody yet”, and when we take down Clemson and still don’t crack the top 15, it will be because “Clemson’s down this year”

Yeah, but to get to CFP you need those AP and Coach votes first

Well that’s not true. Since the CFPs conception, they have varied greatly from the AP poll in the initial poll, which is why the AP voters always scramble to rearrange their ballots after the first CFP poll. CFP guys actually do work to rate teams unlike the AP nobodies

Correct, gotta beat both Army and Clemson. Conference games really start kicking in going forward so some fringe top 25 teams will hopefully start dropping out quickly
