Are BE Football Teams going along for $10mm leave without reduction of 27 months

What happens if Navy and others decide that $10M does not give the Conference enough stability? That is, if these schools think that $10M just isn't a big enough disincentive for schools looking to leave.

The ACC exit fee is $25M. $10M is "chump change" relatively speaking.

Maybe. But remember, ACC has a higher exit fee, but they're making more money too. Right now (and these numbers are from memory, so if anyone wants to update, feel free) avg ACC team makes about $15M on their TV contract, right? So, other things being equal, it takes the ACC team 1.667 years of TV revenue to pay for the exit fee. The avg BE FB team (again, based on memory) makes about $4M. That means it would take 2.5 years of BE TV revenue to pay off the exit fee.

We got off for a relatively low buyout. Little over a year of BE money, but about 4 months worth of ACC money. What a bargain! :D
