I wonder, and this is for legal reasons ONLY, what the line in the sand is for pedophiles and those who commit statutory rape. Wasn't Mary Kay Latourneau a rapist legally speaking but she was tagging a 12-13 year old. I mean Bernie is a gay guy so not sure how it pivots on the legal terminology here.

I just got done typing the below link. I'm convinced he is a freak that wanted to do men. I'm not convinced, however, he is a pedophile. I'm 50/50 if that one. P e d o p h I l I ais a psychiatric disorder, statutory rape is a crime. They can kind of crossover into the same realm though. I am not sure based on the age of the victims that BF would even be classified as a pedophile though as I think that is really young kids (but defer to our board psychiatrists).

I think the smoke let us know there was some odd stuff going on at the Fine residence, but it certainly appears to be fire at this point so I'd say we're pretty close to 100% in the court of public opinion at least, but also getting pretty close in a legal sense.

I'm certain he's done these things. I'm also certain that he's gonna walk due to only heresay and circumstantial evidence. My family has worked in one way shape or form in the legal world/court system for all of my 48 years and it simple fact that criminals walk away every day due to technicalities in one form or another.

Yep, I'm torn. I know he's lying about somethings (how they met, his brother and how he came to contact ESPN) but somewhere in all he's saying, something happened, something gross and wrong. My only hope is that it was post-18...

That said, based on what you think, my guess is you think JB is fired, or resigns. Am I correct? Also, Hop would have to be done, too.

I mean, if you're in a jury box and you hear the tape, then the defense lawyer points out the woman on the other end was sleeping with the guy at one point and then reiterates that the guy basically asked for $5K from bernie with no intention of paying it back, etc. I'm not saying the guy is innocent at all, I'm simply pointing out that unless all the letters and the computer and all that stuff yield a lot more evidence, there is a pretty good defense to be laid out.

Yep andd the Lang one too. When I first saw them with the initial report on ESPN I too dismissed them and was part of that thread when I said I could sleep easy. Then the next night I saw the extended clip especially of Lang and I tossed and turned all night long like it effected me personally or something. Crazy

Being in a jury box and hearing the tape will be something that will never happen...the tape is 100% unadmissible in the court of law!

The university needed to clean their hands of Fine. Best case he's married and hooking up with dudes much, much younger than himself. People get fired for far less every day.

I wonder how much the university paid BSK (whatever they're called)? Seems like they did a terrible job investigating. Four months and not one person they interviewed said "So, what do you guys think about the tape?"
