I get it, your all disappointed I am as well. But the spread was pick em, it was a coin flip game. The sky is not falling, tomorrow is a new day. Relax. We didn't lose to a team that was significantly worse than us. The goal is 3-2. This was not a 56-0 game, sometimes these games just happen.

Basically with all the fire the coach bs, thats utter nonsense. Yea lets can the coach when we lost a game that we were favoured by 1 point, great idea. This team will come out mfkinnn firing on Saturday night, I am not saying we will beat ND. But they will be surprised...

I had a very bad feeling about this game, I picked Maryland because I knew Edsall would absolutely love to beat Syracuse and the ACC. I am normally always right with my predictions, and I have a feeling this team and these coaches are going to prove a lot of Syracuse fans wrong this week. Stop shooting yourself in the foot and lets put the pedal to the metal and play good football

i would say that people aren't so much upset that we lost, but upset by how we lost. this was a game against a pick'em opponent that was over at halftime, go ahead and try to sugarcoat that.

It was "over" at half because of what we did to ourselves. These games happen, Do you really think we are going to have another pick 6 in the redzone? That many drops? That many Penalties? That awful blocked kick? Jumping on 4th and 1 again?

If that happens again I will be worried with the staff. The idea that people now "know" we are going 2-4 is pathetic.

Maryland was clearly the better team on the field today. Had we played a perfect game, we would have had a chance to be in it late (not leaving the wing back/ slot receiver wide open on the 90 yard bubble screen, not getting the punt blocked, Reddish making that pick, THunt not throwing that INT), but maryland was bigger, faster, stronger and had a better game plan.

The problem with where were at is hope. We hope we will be better and want it so bad, and its just so disappointing to have games like this. It's a head scratcher - but its problem a combination of everything right now. We like our players but they dont have that speed, strength and instinct that the top end programs have. We like shafer's enthusiasm and personality, but the position coaches and coordinators seem to leave something to be desired.

It's not an easy stretch right now to be a Cuse fan. The big programs are proud of their undying support even in the low times. The smaller programs have a lot of fairweather fans, because well, their tend to be more lean times. It'd sure be easier to be born in Ohio, or Tallahasee or Oklahoma. But this is the group of players and coaches that represents SU and central NY.

I think a 7-8 win season is again the goal - and its not gonna be easy. Games and ND, Louisville, FSU and Clemson loom. Boston College, Pitt and NC State are even looking very challenging.

You seem to chalk these bolded things up as "eh, those things happen". Others look at those things as evidence of poor coaching, in that the team consistently showed poor focus, discipline, and just plain old bad scheming.
