We’ll need to beat Duke at some pointIt means that we can scratch that win off having any positive impact come Selection Sunday. I have a feeling we will need something to boost the resume and that win clearly will not be it.
Wouldn't hurt to go 2-1 at the worst in the next three games. We’ll need to beat Duke at some point
Yes and we probably are not beating nova so that makes the other 2 big games.Wouldn't hurt to go 2-1 at the worst in the next three games.
i am not sure...but i would like to see which players can play man d.I would like to understand what is the exact lineup construction required to play man D. It would seem 350+ other schools have managed to construct such a roster every year for decades yet we’ve been unable to amass the requisite components even once for about 30 straight years .
I mentioned prior to our game how bad ASU is. Hurley will not survive. He is a horrific coach29 points is almost impossible.
They were horrible, bricking open shot after open shot against the 2-3.I mentioned prior to our game how bad ASU is. Hurley will not survive. He is a horrific coach
I mean, we lost to NC State in 2018-2019 who only scored 24 points in an entire game. Not saying Arizona State is any good, but that NC State team won over 20 games. Not only that, but Syracuse lost by 15 points to that NC State team.Annoying you.
All I did was point out a college basketball team from the P5 didn’t even score 30 points in an entire game. Which is crazy.
We just played this team.
They were barely 8th in the Atlantis tournament field. Was Arizona State ranked when Syracuse played them? The tv score showed them at something like 8th but then it went away as the game went on.
Only remote chance of this changing is if we're sitting below .400 at the end of January. If we're near or above .500 nothing will change. Can JB not play zone?
Which defense can stop giving up wide open shots????
If they can sustain below-average man d for even a few minutes at a time it would be considered a huge upgrade over what we're trotting out there.i would like to see which players can play man d.
It’s also December 2nd, ASU could find there way and be really good. Hell didn’t we score 39 pts in a late season game at Gtown and go on to the final 4. Way to early for the sweeping statements.I mean, we lost to NC State in 2018-2019 who only scored 24 points in an entire game. NC State vs. Virginia Tech
well there were posts on this board that suggested Colgate and ASU were good...it appears they are not, it’s worth noting as good wins help us get into the tourney
well when you look at results of teams like colgate and asu against other lowly ranked schools...and how they struggled to score against those teams...i gotta think the SU can play as good a defense as teams like wagner or whomever...what schemes were those schools using?Only remote chance of this changing is if we're sitting below .400 at the end of January. If we're near or above .500 nothing will change.

Sure never said otherwise.Well, there's no such thing as a "bad win".
Just be really, REALLY glad we didn't lose to them.
We just need to get W's, anyway we can, and as many as we can.
Can't really control how many of them count at the end as "good W's" or not.
Sure never said otherwise.
on this message board, esspecially at the end of the year, we dissect our wins to see if we think the committee with put us in the tourney. That’s what’s being done here.
agreed...Hurley is a mess. It's weird. DJ Horne averaged 15 a game for a poor Ill. St team last year and shot 43 pct from 3
M Jackson averaged 19 a game for a very good Toledo team that just missed the NCAAT last year and was a high priority transfer
Muhammed is a third year guy who played regularly for a very good Ohio St team last year averaging 7 a game.
Heath was BC's best player averaging 15 a game last year.
Bagley and Graham are returning guys who came off good seasons primed to make the jump.
Lawrence is a super senior who contributed every season.
Its a team with experienced guys and some strong portal guys including two who are proven scorers. To me definitely looking like a hatchet job by Hurley.
