Jozy's old teammate (briefly) at AZ has decided to use his one-time FIFA switch to play for the USMNT instead of Iceland. Gotta love the way that things are shaping up with the WC a year away.
Aron made headlines last year by scoring the fastest hat trick (and double hat trick) in Danish league history, needing just 4 and 16 minutes to complete both. He led the Danish league in scoring before transferring to AZ in the Dutch league. He netted 3 in 5 for AZ last year in league play.
Jozy's clearly our first option striker at the moment, but in the past 6 months, JK's learned that he plays infinitely better when paired with a strike partner up top (or at least an Eddie Johnson pushing far up on the wing). With EJ looking like the only other int'l quality option at the moment, it's good to add some depth.
I'm loving the way our midfield and forward situation is shaping up for 2014. If we can get the fullback situation straightened out we could make some noise.
