ignore the references to Moneyball. everyone feels compelled to tie everything to it for some reason.

non traditional factories in the article and quick summaries

snyder at k state - Jucos, cupcakes
boise - small accurate qbs, insane undersized d linemen
beamer - great special teams, depth at RB, swarming d
mumme/leach - spread
patterson - 4/2/5
missouri - "searches for the highest-caliber athletes in the smallest towns in Missouri, Texas and elsewhere, then figures out which position to teach them later."

kinda early to tell but how would marrone want to quickly describe his team?
Develop NYC athletes , toughness, and ball control passing?

Also a defense that forces teenage and early 20 something men (QBs) to make too many snap decisions over the course of 60 minutes. Not sure how to phrase that exactly, but we force QBs into making mistakes.
