Duke has beaten more good teams than anyone in the country, I'm pretty sure. They've beaten Belmont, Michigan State, Michigan, and Kansas. 3 away from home. How many other teams have that many good wins? They got smoked at Ohio State, but Ohio State is another #1 seed.

Knicks: At this point in time you are very much correct. I should point out that OSU beat a #8 ranked Florida team and spanked a #4 ranked Duke team ... both at home tho. Duke does, and I have said this, good quality wins in general. I don't believe they will sustain it and the liklihood of them actually beinga #1 seed is probably slight ... in the long run. But who knows ... despite what everybody "says" I think most of the posters will agree that Coach K is a very good coach.

As to their present assignment to a #1 seed ... OK b/c I agree with you today. But they are Duke.

Will they be a #1 when the season ends? Well, you gotta think OSU and Kentucky pretty much have one locked up, as much as you can on December 8. Whoever wins the ACC will be one. I'm guessing whoever wins the BE will get one as well; if we win one, I'm nearly positive we'll get one.

I think UNC is better than Duke, so my guess is they win the ACC.

Yup and I think that is where most of us are coming from re. Duke ... Duke is a good team but not up to where they have been ... we will see as the year progresses. Like I say, Duke has been known to surprise many.

Pittsburgh and Boston is the best path to New Orleans. With the South regional in Atlanta SU could finish behind Duke/UNC in the seedings and still get Boston.
