Whether it was JB's doing, BJ's doing, Dad's doing or just some bad bounces of the ball (likely some of all) I think there is just a little frustration that many predicted that although BJ would be a GREAT long term talent, there was little chance of getting production from him early in his career. This prognostication came to be true and fans feel like this whole situation could have been improved (for everyone) if the original redshirt year was handled better (again by everyone).

I personally appreciate you (dad) stopping by and keeping us updated. Great kids from great families who work hard and are good teammates are easy and fun to root for. As long as he is not playing us, I will be rooting like hell for him and hope to see his name called by the league in a few years. I hope you continue to keep us updated on his successes.

I agree that the situation could have been handled better. But if bj was under consideration to redshirt that change after Canada and plan was to get him minutes at the 2. That unfortunately didn't happen causing him basically to waste a year. The second year showed improvement as planned but not enough (throw in Pt and later sanctions) led to our decisons to move on from his dream school. Disappointing and frustrating to say the least but i have to look out for bjs best interest whether at SU or anywhere else. The huge benefit of the thought that bj could literally have been a senior this year still amazes me with excitement. He has two prior years of ACC experience. He has the opportunity to gain significant pt in front of his family and fans. With continued skill and sc training, the next 3 years are anticipated with excitement around here. It was too toooo tooooo bad that bj situation there had some difficult twists. I take away from the SU experience as being trying to optimistic to exciting to unknown to decisive concerning BJ's career. I will keep you guys updated on progress, etc. We got to be orange and create some memorable times there. Good luck this season. BJ will be fine!

Best wishes OGBJ and BJ. It frustrates me to no end because we all know BJ will one day blossom into the type of player that every team wants, and it's sad that it won't be with us. We'll still be fans of his though...

Sorry to start any controversy. Redshirt or not BJ is going to be a special talent. And he has that CJ Fair mentality, you can't teach young gentlemen, it comes from the inside.

Settled in, doing well and has been enrolled at LaSalle for the summer currently taking two summer courses and bb and sc training daily even sometimes with POPS! BJ will definitely benefit from the year of sitting out preparing for 2016!!!!! Good luck orange unless you play LaSalle!couchburn
