If you're in the Perimeter area, you can use MARTA to get within 3 blocks of the team hotel and to the Dome. The only concern is getting back. Service normally ends at 1:00. I just spoke to MARTA and they tell me that when there's an event at the Dome that service will continue so that patrons can get to their destinations.
If you plan on staying downtown to celebrate SU's wins then this will not be the way to get back. If you're OK with heading back shortly after the nets are cut down then you should be fine.
I do not know how much a cab ride would be. Others here may have experience with that.
