I hope they are giving them premium seats.

Seriously.

Not only is it a good gesture, we're also on ABC to much of the country. We don't need to show the country our empty sideline seating for a Top 10 opponent.

I don't think those who sit in those sections will have an issue.

40765 announced, 38467 butts in seats

We really can't get ONE big crowd all year?

Last home game, top 10 opponent...top 10 opponent that we can BEAT, competitive team that passes a lot and moves the ball(for the video game short attention span crowd), etc.

If there is less than 45,000, that is pathetic.

if Jake was there, the attendence # would end in 44.

ill say 35744

4,502 in their seats at kickoff

That drives me nuts. Every game starts with an empty dome and I then have to constantly move to allow all the people showing up after throughout the first quarter to get to their seats. Has to be disheartening to the team to come out of the tunnel to a sparse dome.

44,728 announced, 37,144 actual

Remember lots of the distributed tix will not get used...hope I'm wrong.

Weird question, but has anybody ever seen concrete evidence of a significant disparity between actual & reported attendance? From my view in the Dome, I've usually found the announced attendance figures to be pretty on the nose if you're counting the people that are actually in their seats at the game's peak, instead of who sticks around till the bitter end. We always play a little game from our seats to guess the announced attendance based on what we see, and we consistently guess "over" the actual (although entirely possible, if not PROBABLE, that we just suck at guessing). I realize a lot of schools inflate their numbers, but I've never thought Syracuse was one of them. The biggest problem I've found with Syracuse attendance isn't that the # of people they report in the attendance figure don't show up, it's that they don't stay.
