Obviously, that's tickets sold, not number of fannies in the seats. Low by Syracuse standards, but still a good number. And, if the team continues to put on an exciting performance, word will spread and people will want to be there.

Personally, of the four major sports, I think basketball is the one where its much better being there in person. Maybe because it's the smallest footprint.

I disagree, there’s really no such thing as a bad seat for football in the dome and you can see the play develop unlike on TV. For basketball, there’s definitely some weird angles in a football arena. I also live in Clifton park btw

For football, I wasn't necessarily thinking the Dome where if you sit upstairs in the end zone, it is a good seat, but if you sit higher up at Highmark Stadium or Giants Stadium, it can feel like you are 200 yards away.

Not a hockey fan but in person hockey is 8 gazillion times better than on tv.

Yes, definitly hockey. I think hockey is best when you first attend enough games to get a real feel for the movement of the puck and how players play to then appreciate watching it on TV. I had season tickets for the Washington Captials for many years and I know I watch the game differently now than I did in the beginning. For me it's now about watching the players as much as watching the puck. The way they act and react tells you where the puck is when you can't see it.

Simple things like when they dump the puck you already know they are going to change lines or when the puck goes in the corner, you know who is going into that corner to fight for the puck, or when on the power play, watching the skaters get into position. Hockey is great, but I think basketball is just a little better. Especially the sights and sounds, but hockey is very close.

I enjoy watching hockey over basketball, football, and baseball. But I enjoy watching college lacrosse by far even over hockey.
