Making the rounds of all the CFB media shows pimping for Ohio State to be #4 in the playoff and trashing TCU and Baylor. IMO after losing to VaTech these guys should just shut up. It's like everyone has forgotten they got beat by a crap team. And they beat up a historically bad Michigan team yesterday...like that is supposed to carry some kind of weight. The B1G stinks this year. They ( and Delaney) can't lose enough for my taste.

As much as I hate the B1G, an undeserving OSU getting in over the Big 12 champion would make for some interesting reading on the WVU Big 12 board.

As long as FSU beats Georgia Tech, the ACC is in, and that's all that matters. The fact that either the Big 12 or 10 will be left out is a perfectly fine outcome.

That was week 2. They have gotten significantly better since then. The VT loss dropped them from #2 to #22, which was absurd.

There not winning without barrett and even if they do, I think the committee may take that into account just like the NCAA committee downgrades games where you have injuries and players miss games. Ohio state is not the same team without barrett and therefore they would not be the 4th ranked team.

Amen (It's Sunday after all.)

1973 karma for Ohio State getting the Big Ten Rose Bowl bid over Michigan. In 1973 the Big ten ADs after UM-OSU tied 10-10 voted for OSU to go to the Rose Bowl because UM's QB broke its collarbone.

Playoff committee said they would take injuries into account like with Cincy and Kenyon Martin back in the day. By that criteria OSU shouldn't be in but ESPN is sure trying their hardest.

If they win next week and look halfway decent. they are in. But I don't subscribe to the "Hate big 10" mania that many of you do.

And to be honest, a big part of me wouldn't be shocked if their 3rd stringer shows to be a better player than anything we have seen from the QB position this year.

Why should OSU get in over TCU? Loss to Baylor > loss to Va Tech.

It's not worth too much debate right now. Of the top 6, I think the only sure wins next week are TCU and Alabama. Everyone else has a tough game. Especially Ohio State without Barrett.

I chalked up that Va Tech game to Barrett just sucking in his second game out there but he had obviously improved during the year. But you're right - of those two losses, Baylor has the definite edge.

The bottom line is Chip is right, not worth too much debate until after next week but I will definitely be interested to see how Ohio State does.

And by the way, I generally agree with you about Delaney. I think it's laughable how there was so much debate about ruining the "prestige' of the Big 10 by adding Penn State as an 11th member in the 90s and now Maryland and freaking Rutgers without even thinking twice????

The b1g is terrible. Ohio state has no great wins. Wisconsin lost to a middle tier sec team, Michigan state got wrecked by Oregon and Minnesota (I guess they're considered a good team?) was destroyed by tcu. Any team with a home loss to virginia tech shouldn't be in any discussion.
