This game really needs to be discussed more and it has to be the most improbable win in Syracuse history. Down 14 at the half to a team that had dominated us since we joined the ACC (2 of 3 wins versus us by 10+ pts, the other by 8 pts). With 9:33 left it was STILL a 15 point game so it's not like we came out of the 2nd half like gangbusters. Just a totally random win. Look at JB after the game during the handshakes. He doesn't even look excited just totally like what the heck just happened.

That was a fun run. Saw the game vs MTSU in St Louis and met the PACuse duo then made it down to Houston. Had a great time talking to Juli’s sister and Jim Satalin at the team hotel. Hope we get to enjoy another one soon.

I like the 2003 game vs Kansas better.🤪
one of the best road trips ever. denver was beautiful with the snow capped mountains but 70 degrees on the ground. and ive never been kissed so many times on the cheek by an 80 year old lady sitting next to me.

and yes OiG. she was hot and just your type. 🤣

Imagine what you would have said to someone if they told you on that day that it would be the last good one for 10 years.

I was watching this game with a bunch of buddies at a bar in Saratoga Springs. We immediately all made plans to head down to Houston. We couldn’t ultimately score game tickets, but we partied hard!
I was so mad I had left the bar at halftime to go scream at the tv in my buddies place in NYC, safe to say I went back out at the under 4 lol

I was in California on spring break locked in our hotel room with my toddler daughter while my spouse and older kid were at a museum. Daughter was shouting and waving with me and didn't know why lol

that was a great great game, but the gonzaga game wasn't too shabby either.
Honestly I was so mad at that out of bounds blown call that nearly cost us the game that I didn’t enjoy the win in the immediate aftermath as much as I should have . I was piiiiiiised

I had free tickets from CBS for both rounds that weekend and I could only go to the Gonzaga game. I still am sooo annoyed that I missed this in person!

We were truly dead in the water at the half, deep hole against arguably the best defense in the country. One of the great wins

yep. cooney was an inch in bounds. twisted his foot just right. horrible call that could have really cost us.

Gonzaga game I was at a crowded frat party losing my vucking mind everytime someone walked in front of the TV.

Decided to drive home for Easter and watch the Virginia game with my mom. Right call.

I lived in Chicago at the time and picked up tickets at the last minute. For the first 3/4 of the game I was lamenting that I’d wasted the $$, then it ended up being the best $$ I’d ever spent.

Such a great moment. If only we had been able too keep our young talent around a bit longer
In today’s world, Richardson would have returned to school. Lydon would probably have stayed too. Tyus Battle said last week he would never have left college.
