Unfortunately, that happened.   But I come out of this game knowing that we are clearly the better football team (which I was unsure of going in).   The defense, which still is playing without its two best players, had its best showing of the year (by far).

I keep hearing from some on the board that this loss can be purely chalked up to coaching.  Though I agree with all that the coaching in this game did not put our players in the best position to win, I think its also fair to say that it easily could have been overcome by the guys in the unis if they make a play here or there (Phil's INT for TD for example).

Just a gift-wrapped win for the Ladies, theres no question about it.  And Marrone should take the heat for this one.  But I tend to think of it more as a bad day at the office for him than as a disturbing trend.  I actually feel better about the rest of the season after watching the Defense play as well as they did.  The Offense?  Nassib with his worst game as a starter but again, I think he's proven this year to be a pretty good QB who just had a bad day at the office.  He didn't get much help from his RB (you can not fumble twice in a game) and his WRs (Foster and Chew's drops) either.

I think we'll come out strong next Saturday, pound Tulane into the ground, and get two weeks to figure out how to compete with the Mountaineers at 4-2.
