I'm trying to sell my stash of baseball cards and I'm looking up values online. For anybody who still follows this sort of thing, is it fair to say that baseball cards from the 80s (with a few exceptions) have lost their value?

My collection has shown tremendous value ... as a doorstop and as a source of late night trivia.

My guess is that early 80s have likely retained some value (1985 and earlier), but once the market was flooded in the late 80's (Score, Upper Deck, special editions, etc...) it all seemed to collapse. If you have complete, mint sets from the early 80s, that might be your best bet. Otherwise, you'd want the prime rookie cards from that era (Henderson, Ripken, Boggs, Gwynn, among others)
