Look no further than Hughes...2 seconds on the shot clock, Duke's best player has the ball on a key possession, and Hughes runs AWAY from the guy with the ball and gives up a dagger three.
hat literally just can't even be a thing.

That was Brissett. And McConnell was in the corner. OB was giving up a three there either way.

Our bball iq is very low, the frank stepping inside the 3 pt line to take a long 2 just sums it up.

Marek is playing chess, all others seem to be playing checkers.

He seems to be thinking a couple moves ahead and the only one that continually sees the play happening in advance.
We've got other smart players. Battle, Brisset, Buddy, and maybe Hughes are all smart enough players. Frank struggles, although a lot of it is his inability to go by.

Would have to see a replay to know for sure but watching live I felt that O’Connell would’ve had to rush it, if he got it off at all IMO.
He had 5 already at that point and his release is ridiculously quick.

The real problem with that play is that Frank should have rotated off of Jones and helped OB. But he didn't. Manned up on the worst shooter on Duke.

They're all smart, just my opinion that they don't all see the best play available as well as Marek does.

It’s kind of missing the point. When the offense puts the defender into a 2-on-1 it means there was an upstream breakdown. Oshae or whoever is in a no-win position. That happened a lot in the second half. It’s just more obvious when it leads to a wide open 3.
