Basketball practice today...

I think we have the best group of forwards in the country so I not concerned about them. I am happy to hear Cooney and Ennis are playing well let's hope they build great on court chemistry!

I am happy to hear that Cooney, Ennis and the freshmen are doing great. Does that mean the rest of the players are not doing so well? What can you tell us about each individual player?

We have the best front court in the nation! The pundants just do not realize how good our backcourt will be.
Jordoo, I hate to quibble or judge, but what in god's name is your avatar? Really, it makes me want to cry!

Love, Beadle

Nice report cto but I have to quibble a bit. I would not classify MCW as an explosive scoring threat - he was the 4th leading scorer on the team last year at 12 pts per game with only one game over 20 pts. Good scorer but not an explosive one IMHO. I actually think Ennis can be a more effective scorer than MCW was on the hill. Time will tell though. Let's Go Orange!

Oh, thank god! I thought at the very least it was the close up of a tongue! At the worst, I didn't want to think about it. Okay, I will try to get my brain not to react so viscerally to that picture, because I really like your posts! :)

If you didn't know what it was I could see why you would wonder. It will only be temporary. Put it up because of a link in another thread. 'm sure something else will pop up, although I like it especially the dusting of cinnamin

All I can say is ... Wow. Tyler Ennis is as smooth of a point guard as i have seen here. He does not have MCW's explosive scoring threat, but he runs the point so well. The other frosh all looked great too. And Trevor made almost every shot he took, including many with defender all over him. Also, DC ran the floor so much better, and showed some fancy O moves. I watched the practice with Mike Waters, and he pretty much shared my take on it

I'm especially encouraged by the comments on DC3. I see production from the 5 as our X-Factor this year. Meant to ask you about this yesterday but what do you see as the upper level expectations for our 3-headed center? Can they put up 15 ppg and 10 rpg?

Jordoo, I see that already you have switched to another avatar, although it is quite mysterious and I don't get what it is, either. But at least I am not going into convulsions looking at it! Merci, Jordoo. Je t'adore!

Totally agree with you.
I think of the center spot as the 4th spot strongly above SG and just a touch below PG this year because of Ennis IQ, calmness and feel for the game

I think DC2 and Rak while he is at PF, will both get isolation touches in the lower-midpost. AJust having a isolation threat in the post out there will make us sooo much better.. It adds such a extra dimention to Cuse's offense. And the thought of a true go to guy like Fair on top of it with Grant and Ennis abilities makes it even better.

Rak is a 250 pound 6'9 Big. Tim Duncan weighs in at 255, Kevin Garnett 253, Amare Stoudamire 245, Pau Gasol 250, David Lee 6'9 240 was a nba all star last year. Chris Bosh by comparison is only 235. Those are 6 of the top PF's in the NBA. As said before, Fair Roberson and Grant weight 210, 212 and 215 by comparison. Thats 35 extra pounds in the post at PF for a guy who not only created a extra gear in the offseason, but also played every minute in Canada with it.

What kind of player is DaJuan Coleman supposed to be? His body type just reminds me of Big Baby Davis

His body type reminds me of Derrick Coleman in the NBA.

Until he does the Fab Melo freshman to sophomore workout DC2 will not be an effective college player. He looks slower than freshman Fab down the court to me.

I disagree 100%. I do not think DC2 struggles at all running up down the court with some speed, especially for his body type. Fab Melo is lumbering Frankenstein in comparison.
