One thing that I think will be really interesting tonight is the rebounding. Florida is out rebounding opponents by an average margin of 10.5 boards. That includes a game against Ohio State.

We view are team as a really big team, but I don't think we are particularly great on the glass. (although we are also out rebounding opponents by 6.5 boards)

The matchup is especially intriguing to me because Florida is going to largely play a 3 guard lineup and their two non guards only go 6-7 and 6-9.

Any predictions on who wins in the rebounding column tonight? I think we get out rebounded by 5 based on nothing other than I am hoping to be proven very wrong.

I thought we were having an impromptu bro-off with Rivals and Scout...

Aw, shucks...

If we can get Young into foul trouble we're in good shape. They have a kid from France that attacks the offensive glass but he's only 6'7 so hopefully we can find him in the zone to box out.

Other side of that is they are guard heavy and shoot alot of longer jump shots which usually results in longer rebounds. They will likely shoot and follow their shots but if they don't grab the board we should be on the fast break all night. Unless of course they are smart enough to not crash the glass on offense and get guys back to keep us from the transition game.

After reading the title of this thread, I truly thought it was about the competition for posts between this Hoops Board and the newly created Scandal Board.

I thought the UCONN board was talking smack!

Unless his name is Beldar, I'm not too worried about him. And really, a Frenchman attack anything? Cheese eating surrender monkeys.

apart from the occasional marquee rebounder (Jackson, Wallace, Coleman, etc.) we tend to be a fairly underperforming team as rebounding goes... especially for our size.

Hopefully Fab, Dirty South, Fair and Joseph can get big ups this year, but I'll believe it when I see it against good big competition.

Tonight will be a helluva litmus test as to where we are at in that regard...
