BC finishes their indoor practice facility

Goofy personal preference: I like that they've called it "Field House" rather than the tired and generic "Center" that too many university buildings are tagged with recently. "Hall" would also be acceptable.

Also, this: "The video board, which measures 31-feet wide and 18-feet high, puts BC in the company of defending ACC champion Clemson as the only schools in the conference with indoor facility video boards."

Yawn. Pay your adjunct professors more.

52.6 million, yowza! If you truly get what you pay for, than by the numbers alone, that would appear to put the -in the low teens- millions of SU's on the frugal.

If you look at the pictures of their facility vs ours, you can reinforce that belief. We definitely went "cheap," but, I guess we have something. Gonna have to make our bones with the dome renovations, because they have passed us practice facility wise.

I'm cool with ours because it's a big airplane hanger. There's is a big airplane hanger with a video board and a better look (with all the natural light).

In syracuse we needed a place to be able to practice inside, whenever they need to. They have that.

When we win ACC titles then we can add a nap room a la Clemson

No offense to the area around Manley but BC put the fieldhouse right in Chestnut Hill. They probably had the desire to make the building look as nice as possible to keep w the aesthetic. BC has some bigtime benefactors throwing money around too (John Fish, Suffolk Construction for example).

Literally a video board, some plywood and some glass panels/windows is all that separates the facilities. Almost $40M more? Some of that obviously due to cost of living in that area, but, overall I'm not really seeing the difference to that level.

I like the garage doors for indoor/outdoor feel. Otherwise, a massive video board in your practice facility is dumb. Are they using it for other things?

Agree and the video board is pointless for us. Dino doesn't stop practice to watch tv.

Superfans everywhere yawn, roll over and go back to sleep.

They will post a constant loop of BC messages like this

52.6 million is a bigger number than ours but that needs to have some context. Their facility is going to be shared with other sports and it included things that we already had. I would be interested to know how their new strength and conditioning facility compares to ours. Did they leap way passed us or catch up?

It seems like the video board is over the top but if it impresses recruits, it serves it's function.

Weight room is larger than ours. 12000 SQ feet. Initial plans had 3 entirely glass walls. Looking onto the outdoor practice field. Looks like the garage doors lead to the IPF. Still Not finished.

I do like the glass and natural light. Yes, this arms race is a bit nuts, but yes, ours does look like an airplane hangar. As i said before, some cuse colors and/or pics of ex Cuse stars on the walls is needed.

Gotta say, its sweet, love the weight room overlooking the practice facility. Gotta say, kids appreciate this stuff and something that would be nice here and should have been in the planning.

How big is ours?
