BC Kickoff: 7:30 PM / RSN

Just as a reference…

In an Incognito/Private browser window you can stream YES at:

channels list - .TV

As a YouTubeTV subscriber it’s what I have to do a couple of times a year to catch an SU game.

Alternatively, you may be able to use a VPN to place you somewhere where the ESPN App will work for you.

I actually think cable is becoming more relevant

If you have cable you get all of the xhannels

If you stream, you have to have 30 different subscriptions to see all the different channels

I said 5 years ago that was going to happen and people told me I was crazy…and now here we are…

I think in the next 5 years everyone will slowly crawl back to cable.

The whole point to leave cable was because people wanted to pay less….now with all the different subs you have to have, it’s comparable or even slightly more expensive
There are some good old threads about bundling that would probably be good for some laughs

Maybe they can work in a screening of Old Yeller in between the games.
Comedy Gold!!! Bravo, Maestro!

Yep. Cutting the cord and streaming works, if you don't care about having a wide variety of channels. If you want streaming to be cable, you'll pay as much or more with lower quality/user friendliness.

What people wanted was to cherry pick the 20 or so channels they want to watch and not have to pay for the 200 they don't. That was/is never going to happen.

I never left cable for those reasons. I am gonna get a smart TV though so I can watch the things I have to stream on a large TV instead of my computer or phone.

I've been able to HDMI my laptop to my old pre-smart TV for games. I actually ended up having to do that with my new smart TV when I couldn't get it to let me select my cable network to stream watchespn.

Amazon Firestick will do the same thing, if your TV has an HDMI port.

Yea but I hate having a cable across the room from tv to computer. Just gonna go with the smart TV. Going with the Amazon one so I can get the ESPN app. Some smart tvs don’t get it.

Firestick works off the home WIFI net. Download the ESPN app to it.

All you need is a place to plug it into a power outlet.

Dude I told you before just get a chromecast, it's going to solve all of your problems with zero cords.

For those contemplating the cold for the BC game … it might be colder Saturday at Wake

I've been using a Firestick for about 6 months now. Very happy with it.

Having to purchase multiple packages sucks, but I'm still much better off than the days of having directv or cable. I currently have YouTube TV, HBO, Showtime, and ESPN+ all for well under $100. I love being able to take it anywhere I go. Like next week when I'll be in Georgia for Thanksgiving, no worries about being able to watch SU football/basketball on my folks tv - I can just login to my subscriptions on their tvs and watch just like I do at home.

As someone who will be in attendance I strongly disagree
I think you are in luck, says 7-8 MPH winds. good for Orange Tarheel, not as good for our defense against Hartman. damn you.
