BC Predictions...

I think you’re giving BC waaaay too much credit -
they haven’t scored more than 14 points in any ACC game, and are 0-3 so far (and counting).

Unless you think their D & ST’s are gonna score some TD’s.

I look at it this way:

Grosel isn't totally incompetent at the position, and with the terrific line that they have (and they do have Garwo who is a servicable first tailback) they will be able to sustain drives when they get into short yardage situations.
I see the keys to this game defensively as being getting home to the quarterback and minimizing chunk plays through the air and on the ground. No more 30 yard runs right through the teeth of the defense this week, minimize the threat of Flowers on the outside (stick Duce or Garrett? if healthy) on him, because he is a really good receiver.

Call it cautious optimism, but this is still the Boston College Eagles. They beat the hell out of Mizzou (at home, I get it) and they will not quit, even with all of the injuries they've sustained.

Pound the football, take care of the football, win the field position/turnover battle. We play sound fundamental football, and I agree, we will handle them with ease.

If not, watch out.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention that the BC defense forced four turnovers against Louisville and still lost. Two through the air and two fumbles. Their secondary is a bunch of ballhawks, so again, take care of the football.

I hope the team doesn’t have this same attitude. I think we should never underestimate anyone. This team has a really good offensive line, good tailbacks and an outstanding wide receiver. This will be another grinder type of game and it wasn’t too long ago that BC just gashed us on the ground.

Anyone who doesn't have us scoring 40+ isn't trying.

Sorry.

Peace & love, peace & love...

On top of this, I am a local (MA) guy, so I just happen to follow a lot of the talking heads in the BC media and keep tabs on them throughout the season.

Nobody in that realm, and I mean nobody, respects this team. They think that the hype is overdone and that they will come up to the Dome on homecoming and run all over us just like 2 years ago, and that Grosel will have another banner day under the roof.

To his credit, I believe that Dino is stressing the memory of getting trounced in our building 2 years ago to the locker room this week. Never, ever, underestimate your enemy. I'd rather not relive that second quarter, and I damn sure know that the upperclassmen and the staff would agree.

'Less you want to end up like Ped State last week. Never rest on your laurels, especially when you are still grinding to earn them.

You cannot underestimate the Eagles. They are TOUGH and play together. On offense, especially, they have great run schemes and block extremely well on the outside.

Do NOT underestimate the Eagles. Do NOT.

Yeah, I'm with you.

Anyone that thinks this is going to be a cakewalk is going to be disappointed, IMO.

After watching the Va Tech film there going to load up with 2 tight ends and try to Bludgeon us. We better be ready for it.

What I have seen after watching a couple of their games is that Grosel is a terrible passer who seems to be getting worse as he takes more hits. We should rush him hard early.

Garrett is not type to underestimate anyone. But now that he has the taste of winning, everyone else better beware.

My money is on shootout over rock fight. Granted it will be a running the ball shootout but still high scoring.

Both defenses are banged up.

I almost always lose bets so do with this information what you will.
