Notables are in bold, RC players that are Cuse hopefuls and one time hopeful Hakim Saintil.

Note the difference between him and the next guy in both rebounds and blocks.

A few other articles, one on Malachi's injury, quick summary, they hope it's only shin splints and hope it's not a stress fracture.
Also, RC earns the one seed in their Union County tournament.

Along with Max Preps, nj.com is an excellent source for NJ High School bball.

I love how the blocks and rebound numbers aren't even close with the players behind The Beast. th_shaqoohhh.png

Limitless talent next few years. From what we've seen of Beast, Ennis, Hammer, BJ and company, it's just silly. Dynasty silly, that is.
JB and company know their talent and I'm so glad they spot these guys early before you know who gets their dirty blue paws on them.

Man, I hope there are a few seasons where these kids play together as it seems winning is something innate with this '13 class.

Francis, are we moving away from Whitehead? Thought we needed a bigger SG for 2014.
I am not Francis, but from previous discussions and knowing Lincoln High, the adventure that is the Isaiah Whitehead recruitment has just begun, and being his "dream school" means nothing. His adoration for Coach Cal and desire to be recruited by Kentucky are signs that Syracuse should keep in touch but pretty much move on, because that recruitment is heading in an ugly direction.

I agree. If it really was his dream school, wouldn't he have committed?
It's a little game they like to play: Nerlens Noel, Dakari Johnson, Vonleh, Kenny Anderson, lol.

DC2 kept his word though, but the words dream school make me want to puke. Hopefully, it will land on PayCal's lap, ala Animal House.

The only way it is going to end is when Cal gets caught and the money train stops. I believe all of these kids do grow up Syracuse fans, but when you are faced with a big fat bag of cash and you don't have to do any school work, then 9 out of 10 will go for it.

Am I the only one who thinks we dont need a shooting guard in that class? I dont see Cooney or Gbinije leaving early. I dont see Patterson leaving early. Those guys will man the position until Briscoe is (hopefully) ready to step in who, to me, is the real prize.

Bingo!

You can never turn down the opportunity to land a talent like Joseph, Whitehead, Vaughn etc if they want to come. What happens if Briscoe's dad gets his way and his son ends up at a school where he'll play PG full-time and doesn't have to share the spotlight with Tyler? Imho I wouldn't take that chance. Cooney and Patterson are basically being recruited over anyway. So if we do indeed get a guard in 2014 and Briscoe in 15, it'll be interesting to see what will happen for both as far as playing time and such.

Ah, that is interesting regarding Briscoe. I hope the staff is able to show Isaiah and his family how Tyler and Isaiah could work well on the court together at SU. Sharing point guard duties and being able to show their all around games to the dozens of scouts that will be at their every game. I agree with you, that if talented players like Whitehead, Vaughn or Joseph want to come, you try to accomodate them and let the chips fall where they may. It may lead to transfers at worst or at best, it would lead to a level of competition in practice that would make a talented team even stronger and more ready to handle any team they face.

It's pure foolishness that The Beast didn't make the Jordan game. I gotta believe that he'll make that all star game that takes place during final 4 weekend.

do we think we are going to have 2 mcd aa's?

Doubt it. I'll be surprise if Ennis doesn't make it.
Really would love either BJ and/or Beast in there, but they do fit into the sleeper category...just not sure why!
I guess we see more of them than most, but still.

tee or others: Any clue the schedule for Beast Mode/ Roselle Catholic as far as the Union County Tourney? I want to check them out.

found it...here's the schedule on my next post for those interested.

Sure, linkage
Summary, but I will try to get firmer dates.
"The preliminary round will take place on Friday as Roselle Park faces Johnson. The first round will be held on Saturday and Sunday, the second round on Wednesday, Feb. 13 at Roselle Catholic and Rahway. The quarterfinals will be on Wednesday, Feb. 16. The semifinals will be on Feb. 19 and 20, the final is on Feb. 23. The final two rounds of the tournament will take place at Kean University."
I believe RC gets one or two byes, but will get you more soon.
Also, my wife went to Kean for a seminar, and I might consider checking it out if the drive isn't too far.

It looks like we play the winner of Union and Scotch Plains who both advanced in the 8-9 bracket.
RC destroyed Union earlier, and haven't played Scotch Plains, who is much worse than Union.
Should coast into semis.
In fact, if you're thinking of seeing them live, I would hold out to see them at Kean as they are not losing to either of these teams.

Doubt it. I'll be surprise if Ennis doesn't make it.

oh... what other game is played f4 week?

mcd's is a few days before the f4. the other game must be pretty diluted.
