Why would any team that is experiencing success right now think that it's a good idea to add coaches from the team that is going over a cliff?
There are so many guys in college football who could take a dump in the middle of the field and they'd still get a huge paycheck.

I think “no expectations” is wildly off the mark. UCLA badly needs to win the press conference with their coaching hire. They’ve been bouncing between mediocre and terrible for three decades, Chip Kelly didn’t work out, Foster was a catastrophe. They’ve blown past the point of angry fans to a situation where fans just gave up and left left (which we have some experience with…) - which isn’t great for finances or NIL. They need to hire a guy who gives fans hope and pray nightly he can get them occasionally to the playoff. And it’s hard to win a press conference hiring a guy who just imploded at UNC.
