Led his team to the Maryland 2A championship with a receiving TD and a rushing TD.
The kid is a solid citizen, high character guy as well. He fits the HCDM profile well.

If you're going to take a flyer on a lightly recruited kid, this is the type to take it on. Never hurts to have a hard working solid character guy in the ranks that was an all around player and leader on his high school team.

On D he played DE, LB and S, depending on where they needed a big play. He clearly mastered football at the High School level. Question is, does this translate to the college game?

Let's hope. He kinda reminds me of a Eric Decker(While at Minnesota)/Wes Welker type of WR.
Were those the only white guys you could think of. Decker seems to be fair. I like the kids strength, catches the ball with his hands, plus he attacks the ball in the air which so many of our guys fail to do.

The Knights were led by the three-headed monster of quarterback Michael Pritts, running back Zach Welch and wide receiver Ben Lewis.

“We were just really motivated,” said Lewis, who has verbally committed to Syracuse. “We really wanted a state championship obviously coming up short last year. [We were] really motivated to come back this year and bring it home.”

Ben Lewis, a Syracuse commit, accumulated 144 total yards (56 rush, 88 receiving) and scored two touchdowns for Middletown.

Middletown is one of the most cohesive units in the state, and their performance tonight showed that. With no true star on the roster (Ben Lewis is the top prospect; committed to Syracuse), the Knights are very deep and versatile, and play very team-oriented football.
