Career numbers 24 & 9
I'd start him next game along with Maliq. Taylor wasn't ready for today.Career numbers 24 & 9
Maliq is in the dog house with Bell for some crazy reason. He probably doesn’t get many minutes at all to close the season. You hate to see it.I'd start him next game along with Maliq. Taylor wasn't ready for today.
They left him WIDE open all game. He accumulated like you said, but he was so so so so bad in everything else.He just hit the shots he normally misses and got enough playing time to accumulate. Bad D. Poor decisions. He would be 10x the player if he drove to the rim and used his strength and athleticism.
the only consistency with the program is the mediocre effort from the HC.Problem is next game he’ll probably shoot like 20% and score 4 points. He is wildly inconsistent.
Brown is fine, he’s in a funk, players are allowed to have funks. He still made plenty of boneheaded plays while the game was close.
But nothing wrong with looking for a silver lining.
Brown and Taylor dont look like they belong anywhere near an ACC program at this point I'm concerned about all of our freshmen TBH since Mintz might not return and I don't know if we can count on anyone else to be productive next year.

And somebody argued w me when I said he has to be wide open to get a shot off. The film don't lie.I think Taylor got off two shots tonight. He played the first 12 minutes of the first half without a shot. You can not count on him to be the off guard next year. He can’t create at all.
Taylor has been such a disappointment. I guess he’s ok defensively but he brings even less to the table than Bell. He’s been window dressing basically all year. He’s so stiff and unable to do anything unless wide open that I’m not sure what to expect in the future.I think Taylor got off two shots tonight. scouting is so easy in this day and age...maliq had some good games before he was on opponents' scouting reports...JT too, somewhat...now, they have to adjust and up their games...but it takes timeBrown is fine, he’s in a funk, players are allowed to have funks.
I don’t think that’s it. I think he’s exhausted from playing too many minutes as a starter. JB was right to make him a starter, wrong to overplay him.scouting is so easy in this day and age...maliq had some good games before he was on opponents' scouting reports...JT too, somewhat...now, they have to adjust and up their games...but it takes time
Benny is…not good. That’s why he can’t do that every game.I think all of our freshman can be productive players at this level. They need coaching. That's what we are lacking. Why can't Benny do this every game? He can get close, with proper coaching. We get outcoached by Jeff Freaking Capel, that is bad.
Meh. He’s our highest rated recruited in years and he’s been a huge disappointment. When you don’t recruit a lot of high impact guys anymore the ones that miss hurt especially bad.I have to SMH when some of you talk about how Benny is not good and why can't he do it every game.
I would agree he has been a disappointment for most of the season but somehow finally started to be aggressive and play a decent game. Was it without mistakes? Of course not, but it was a vast improvement over what we have previously seen. Certainly, the best game we have seen out of any of our forwards this year.
Hopefully, it's a building block for what we may see in the future.
