Moose was our leading rusher one season but the poll can only have four. So he can be a write in.

All really solid players. But I just don’t see how anyone could pick anyone but Joe Morris on this.

Joe was before my time but I know enough about his career that I chose him

Is that a list or the order with which you place them?

The order I would place them.
Delone Carter was a REALLY talented back.
David Walker was underrated. Rarely went for more than 10 yards. Best spin move in SU history.
Damien Rhodes had 1-2 long gains per game. He was FAST.

To qualify you need to have led the team in rushing in a single season. Choose wisely.
For the 1980s, to my eyes, Joe was by far the best RB we had. He mostly played without a real QB, against defenses that were configured expressly to stop him. He had amazing agility and great speed, especially before he ran into the wall at the dome. Could break tackles too. Every time he touched it, there was a chance he was going to break a long run,

When he got bulked up later, he lost a little speed but was still amazing to watch. Reyes is 1A on my list. They were both terrific.

I would put him #1 too. He had it all.
I was too young to pay attention when Morris was playing. I just assumed because of the numbers, older poster's stories, and NFL career he was a clear cut #1. Of the RBs I'm familiar with I would have Reyes #1.

I'm surprised you have Reyes in front of Morris.

21 more touchdowns on almost two hundred less carries. More production as a receiver. Shared time with Mungro on the front end and Rhodes on the back end of his time here.

Joe was very good and a work horse. Reyes was so productive though.

And almost single handedly destroyed Notre Dame. I can't stress that enough.

I probably don't put as much weight on the touchdown stat as you when comparing those two. The game was played a bit different even in the 80's compared to when Reyes played. There was less offense in general and the fullback was used so much more near the goal line.
