Not a movie but I was disappointed when Playmakers was cancelled. Too realistic!

Remember the Titans, Friday Night Lights, and Invincible were all great movies.

Unlike a lot of people on this forum, I actually thought that The Express was pretty good, too [historical inaccuracies notwithstanding--although I certainly understand how someone like CTO, who knew ED's girlfriend, might find the changes untenable].
