I have no idea really, so would love to hear some educated responses on what $12 million would get a team. My numbers are barely $5 Million. Will Cuse really end up with a bunch of kids making $1,000,000 plus. Or $2,000,000 for top guys if they can get them.

1) Top Point Guard: $1,000,000+
2) Top Center: $1,000,000+
3) Top Shooting guard or Wing: $500,000+
4) Kiyan: $500,000?
5) Sadiq: $500,000?
6) Doty: $300,000?
7) Folefac: $250,000?
8) Moench: $200,000?
9 and 10: $150,000 each
11, 12 and 13: $50K to $100K

Kiyan should not be making anything close to 500k. Sadiq is probably more than 500k. Top tier point center probable 2.5 to 3.5 million. Crazy numbers because more than nba rookies.

Freeman would be in the $2-3M range I think, if we want him back and if he wants back.

Cs and PGs are hard to come by. If we go after legit guys, I could see those two positions eating up $6M (combined) easily.

You’re probably right but I think anything over a million for him is a mistake. Tougher players out there for less. Id sacrifice skill and potential for will and effort in cbb

I would atleast double what they will probably pay Doty. Folefac would get more as well. Kiyan will get less. But this is guaranteed base salary stuff. I do wonder if they work incentives into the contracts. The problem with Sadiq and Kiyan is they way underperformed what they should have been doing even as freshmen. That’s why I could see them working incentives into the contracts with guys that have high ceilings, but aren’t proven enough in Sadiq and Kiyan. The underperforming this season from Syracuse across the board is really incredible….

First 3 on that list I bet would add up to 6 million if not a little more.

Who is Moench??

Rumor was Cam Boozer made 2.2 million this year. I'd guess someone like him is in the 2.5-3 million range this year. I wouldn't pay more than 1.75 to 2 for Donnie. Our biggest expenditure should be at the poing and then center.

If I were the GM, I’d let Donnie walk if they are asking more than 1.25 million guaranteed. I actually think if there was a way to work in team based bonus incentives and defensive based incentives it would really help create a better culture and hungrier culture.

NIL contracts can’t have performance incentives, I’m pretty sure.

I’m not sure they underperformed. Both freshmen. I’m coming the talk was White elite defender shot needs work, very bouncy good rebounder, needs to be stronger. Kayian streaky shooter, good bb iq, can get to the hoop crafty. I think both 247 evaluations were spot on. Both played spotty minutes both played better early in the year. Played more minutes, due to injuries but got into a rhythm. Also criticism being a black hole was unwarranted. Late on the year minimum minutes, no flow to the offense get a pass give it back, no one moving or try to make a play. Offensively this team was stagnant. Now Kayian didn’t move e ought without the ball as well. This upcoming season look for both to be stronger and much more active.

They underperformed, but the reasons you listed after are valid reasons of why. This past season did not do any favors to the market value of both Kiyan and Sadiq. It did the opposite for Doty and Folefac.

I highly doubt Freeman was over $1.5 million this past season. I believe George was probably the most expensive.

Based on how freshman ranked #25-#40 in the country entering last season performed (the Comp group), Anthony and White didn't significantly underperform as freshman. They were more in the bit below average / average compared to that Comp group numbers wise. (I did an analysis a month or two back) Of course there is the non number stuff that doesn't help Kiyan.

There was some absolutely dominant freshman this year. More than normal. But those were mostly those ranked in the top 10 / top 15, and White and Anthony were not at their level from a recruiting perspective. Some outliers though - I think that star kid from Illinois Flegler was not ranked that high.

So Francis Folefac actually had a better freshmen year than both Kiyan and Sadiq. I’m talking more efficiency numbers.

Evan Miyakawa (who has some pretty interesting content on social media and his website regarding team and player metrics said: “Based on early input from teams using the Front Office Suite at EvanMiya.com, this year's NIL market for Division 1 players is up *roughly* 35% from last year.

If a player was worth 1 million in the 2025 offseason, he'd be evaluated around 1.35 million today.”

Obviously you need to know the value of a player from last year but figured I’d share. Not sure how believable that figure is, and it is still early, so who knows.

Why would you double Doty? There's no ACC markup. The market dictates his value. If Doty is getting offers that double his prior price then great but I would not just double it for "doubling sake ".
Now if GMac signs off on an additional good faith bump say 25% then that would make sense. Kinda a loyalty bump to his guy. Then totally onboard but I would not be doubling Nil for a guy who might not be a starter.

Based on expected inflation and the rumors based on what a guy like Kingz was getting last year. Which Kingz was a very good investment btw. He’s due for a nice raise if he gets the extra eligibility. They got that right. Doty would’ve been our 4th best player last season. Even if you doubled what he is getting paid that’s still probably the rate for a 6 or 7th man on a top 3rd ACC roster.
