*80's a tie with Pearl as a Freshman when we lost to Hoyas in BET final, 1984. Also have to go with Seikaly in 1987 vs Florida in sweet 16 game with 33 points and 14 rebounds.

*90's, have to go with John Wallace in sweet 16 vs Georgia in 1996

00's, Melo vs Texas in semi final in 03, no brainer. Sorry Mr. Flynn, who is second from 09 BET, 6 ot game, along with g-mac vs BYU in 04, 43 points

this decade, I pick Dion Waiters vs Wisconsin, clutch city in a hue huge game

Thank God for this thread, that other one was depressing.

DNic on my birthday in 07 dropping 37 to beat the Jonnies and keep the NY dominance alive. That HAS to be in there and is about the only game from 07 that I actually kept the recording of...

GMac's entire 2006 BET

I am going with another less remembered one. Luscious Jackson scored 24 and canned 6 threes in the final 6 minutes win at Villanova in 1994 I believe. Syracuse was down 17 with 6+ left and then Luke went off. That should be listed. Great individual performance.

I will also go with Otis Hill's 34? at Alabama. He could not miss and making reeeeedikulous shots. Should be mentioned even though it was a loss.

Autry's final game was memorable, more for the fact that all of his production (31 points) came after halftime. But it probably doesn't match Wallace against Georgia or Kentucky.

Southerland against Arkansas might have been the most impressive of this young decade. (Dion had some good games, but a quick check shows that he was 5-11 for 13 points against Wisconsin. Good enough to get us the win, so I'll take it.) There's a Scoop game that stands out from our slow start to the 2011 season, too - accounted for about two-thirds of our points (27 points, 8 assists, 11-18 from the floor) in a game where we struggled to get 66.

2001-2010, honorable mention: Wes Johnson against Gonzaga - not Carmelo against Texas, but efficient and dominant. Also, Allen Griffin's triple-double against St. John's - close win, double overtime, and I think he set our tied our single-game record for made free throws [EDIT again - I conflated his Pittsburgh triple-double and his St. John's high-scoring game later in the week. Still a couple good games]. Fantastic performance.

[EDIT] Finally, Rick Jackson at Providence. Looked it up - 13-17, 28 points, 9 rebounds. Also recall that he missed a short shot near the end (14-17 for 30 would have been even better).

Fab Melo Seton hall first half 11-12 hate all you want just wow!

Can't deny it. Nobody's had a more impressive 20 minutes. Totally ate Herb Pope's lunch; Fab could've put up spectacular numbers that night if he'd stayed on the court.

Good call on that Allen Griffin triple double.

And speaking of Kentucky and Autry. I think he had 30 when we beat BigBlew in the Dome on 2-12-1994. There is another great performance.

Thanks to their rabid fans, I can post a box of that one...

I'll go with Melo in the Final 4. Just ate dudes. That ended pretty good, too. :)

GMac in the 2006 BET was out of a storybook. I still wake up with palpitations from that run.

80s... loss... but still... DC with 19 rebounds.

we beat alabama that year in 97

Sherman against Providence in 89. 22 assists. I think 10 of them were on lob dunks.

Oh how I love that 2006 tourney! Thank you, and now to bed where I will dream of only things orange, and not at all about wolves or spiders or vampires/

Ok, that makes me feel a little less insane as I was pretty sure we had lost that game.

That was the only game I've ever been to with my Grandpa. That was one of the most memorable games I've been to so far in my life because of how dominant he was.

MCW against Indiana this year is up there as far as this decade goes I would think.

GMAC's 06 tourney was the most electrifying and gutty performance I've ever seen. The drive and desire to win was absolutely epic. GMAC was the glue that held this program together for those couple years after the National Championship. He gave so much, so selflessly to this program that it likely cost him any chance he had at ever having a serious shot of making it to the NBA. I know he had his limitations with respect to being a prototypical NBAer but the gifts he did possess which made him such a special player here surely could have been utilized by an NBA team in some capacity.

Just watched that game the other day and LJ was great in that comeback. I also watched the rematch at the Dome where we destroyed Steve Lappas' crew.

Sorry if this is redundant but Adrian Autry with 31 points in the second half against Missouri in an overtime game and it never ever gets mentioned in great NCAA performances
