Great video - Coach Fran visits with a CNY legend. Lots of us CNY lifers will remember Sen. Lombardi and his years of service. When he ran for office, his signs just said "Tarky". How many people running for office just put their first name on a sign? Of course, how many people running for office have the first name "Tarky"? God bless them both!

That is great !!! Although I thought I was the longest !
They had a box the day the dome opened. I’m sure they have records for that.I thought they only kept records back as far as 20 years.
We should all be tied !!!

Tarky was key in getting the dome built.
and even accepted cash.I had a Dome Dog and a Coke the day the Dome opened. And the hawkers came right up to your seat back then.

And why companies eventually adopted it, even accounting for the card fees. Not handling money removes opportunities for theft, miscounting, paying for a brinks truck, going to the bank, etc...and then you process transactions faster now with cards than cash. It's a no brainer. Just took a bit for speed to catch up.Well, TBF - that was decades ago, when mobile non-cash payment options literally didn't exist.
And also, long before a global pandemic led to rapid development and proliferation of touchless / cashless payment options.
I was at the Foo Fighters concert at CitiField on Fri nite. (driveby humblebrag alert!)
Everything is cashless.
And it is faster, and 1000x easier that way.
It’s probably still coming back up.I had a Dome Dog and a Coke the day the Dome opened. And the hawkers came right up to your seat back then.
